Description

Ocean Free is the only operator in Cairns offering you a sailing, reef and island tour all in one day trip! With a maximum of only 25 passengers per boat this will ensure a truly personalised snorkel and dive experience. Ocean Reef has access to an exclusive reef mooring at Pinnacle Reef so you will be sure to escape the crowds, snorkelling in real tranquility. You can choose to split your time between Green Island and Pinnacle Reef as you wish.

As you sail to Pinnacle Reef you can sit back and relax whilst enjoying morning tea or coffee with fruit and Danish pastries. Upon arrival at Pinnacle Reef you can opt for a swim, snorkel, dive or just relax in total serenity. Turtles, large Giant Clams, many beautiful fish, Staghorn Coral and Spaghetti Coral are all common at Pinnacle Reef. Most days Ocean Free is even lucky enough to be visited by friendly black-tipped reef sharks. Following morning activities the crew will serve up a large smorgasbord lunch with a mixed meat platters, salads and assorted breads. 

On Green Island you can choose to swim, sunbathe, or explore the interpretive walking tracks and beach. If you would like Glass Bottom Boat tours, semi-sub tours, or even a visit to Marineland Melanesia (crocodile park and turtle rehabilitation clinic) can be arranged on the island.

On the trip back to Cairns your captain will give you a true sailing experience by turning the engine off and sailing back to the reef terminal (weather permitting). Enjoy a peaceful cruise back accompanied by platters of fruit, cheese and crackers and cake, a great way to end an amazing day.

• Maximum passenger number of 25
• Child rates for 4 - 14yrs. Children under 4 years free of charge
• Children under the age of 18 require a guardian to travel with them
• Guests are required to get in & out of a dinghy from the main vessel & on to the beach at Green Island, so you will need to be mobile & steady on your feet
• Ocean Free prides itself in giving you a great sailing experience. You can even assist with the hoisting of the sails & the steering of the boat! You will motor sail out to Green Island and on the way home your captain will turn the engines off to sail home
• Minimum age of 12 years for scuba diving
• Transfers can be arranged - Inner city pick up $19 return per person. Outer city & Northern Beaches including Palm Cove $29 return per person
• Licensed bar on board

• Environmental Management Fee (EMC) & Port Charges of $20 per person on the day
