Mission Beach Activities from Cairns

Two hours south of Cairns lies a gem of a place – the beautiful Mission Beach. For the extremely adventurous – or those who like to push the limits just a little bit – there is rafting and sky diving to sate the appetites of one and all. Try a full day of Raging Thunder Rafting – the name says it all! These grade 3 and 4 classified raft rides are globally recognized, and you are expertly guided through Tully Gorge, surrounded by National Parks. Try to tame the waters, and then enjoy a relaxing barbecue lunch on the riverbank amid rainforests. You can also experience sky diving from 14,000 feet – with 60 seconds of freefall – in tandem with an expert guide, who will give you five or six seconds of adrenalin-pumping turns and spirals. Alternatively, try another combo which includes swimming in rapids, rock jumping and body surfing! So many options.
