There will be three adults hoping to do a rafting trip and we will be staying in Trinity Beach, do you pick-up from there?.

Hello Julie, Yes they do provide pick ups from trinity beach, however not from all accommodation. They collect most people from the corner of Trinity Beach road and Moore St at the bus stop. Kind regards Alicia Coyne
Hi I'll be in Cairns on the 8th September and just wondering what time this tour leaves and arrives back in Cairns
Comments
For the Barron river rafting in Cairns you will be picked up from your central Cairns accommodation at 2pm and dropped back afterwards by 6pm.
Hi we are staying in Port Douglas at the Sea Temple in March and are looking to do a rafting tour. There are five of us and I was wondering if you pick up from Port Douglas and if so what time and are they daily. Looking at doing the half day one at Barron River.
Thanks 😃

Hi Tracey, unfortunately there is no pick up service from Port Douglas for the Barron Rafting trip. You will either need to drive yourselves to Lake Placid Caravan Park or else if you need transport I suggest booking transfers through BTS from Port Douglas to Skyrail where you can get collected from and then you will be dropped back at Skyrail at about 5.10pm and BTS go back through Skyrail at 5.30pm back to Port Douglas.
We have booked a holiday in July 2014.
We are staying at the sanctuary apartments at Palm Cove. Do you pick up from there? If you don't - where on the Barron River does the tour leave from and is it easy to find from Palm Cove? (we will have a hire car). thanks
Ali

Hi Ali. July is a great month for weather in Cairns so you'll have a fun time rafting on the Barron river! Unfortunately there are no pick ups from Port Douglas as its 55 minute drive to the start of the rafting at Lake Placid Tourist Park in Caravonica. But if you have a hire car then you can self drive from Port Douglas and the cost is $13 cheaper per person than if you were being picked up from Cairns.
can we drive to Barron River and back again and then purchase tickets there if so how much? there is 5 of us and the youngest is 12 1/2 as we need to be back by to Cairns by 5.30 ish to catch a plane at 7

Hi Lisa, ff you like you can drive to Lake Placid Caravan Park and get collected from there. This is as far as you can go and the last pick up point so you would get on the bus for the last part. If you choose this option the cost is only $95 each. You will get off the water between 4.30pm - 5pm and then you would be dropped back at your car by the bus. The rafting finishes just past Lake Placid Caravan Park. Lake Plaicid Caravan Park is about 20 minutes from Cairns Airport.
In terms of rafting on the Barron river, do you need to know how to swim? I am coming with a group of friends and a couple of us, including myself cannot swim
Comments
Hi Nemesh, for the Barron River Rafting you don't actually need to know how to swim however please make sure that when you make your booking you write in the "additional information" field however many there are that don't know how to swim so we are aware of it.
R there 4 adult position for tomorrow at 2 pm. I tried to book online but the terms and condition won't open so I didn't want to process sale and be caught out with no position as my son only has tomorrow off to come with us, kind regards Annette
