As Far North Queensland’s oldest horse riding and quad bike operators, Blazing Saddles is a Cairns institution. Locally operated and owned, Blazing Saddles’ convenient location just 10 minutes from urban Cairns and the Northern Beaches makes it a great choice for those without much time to spare and who want an accessible adventure.

The property on which Blazing Saddles is located now functions as a sugar cane farm and also houses an impressive billabong measuring 18 acres that’s filled with amphibious animals of all sorts and beautiful native birds. Other animals living on the property include peacocks, geese and ducks, and occasionally crocodiles can be spotted.

You’ll explore scenic trails swathed in natural beauty that wind across the premises accompanied by your family, friends and other friendly adventure seekers on a quad bike or All Terrain Vehicle, otherwise known as an ATV, which are large motorbikes on four wheels.

You’ll be allocated to a group filled with others of similar levels of ability following a lesson that teaches you basic skills and how to stay safe. You will then be led by friendly and enthusiastic guides on a Blazing Saddles ATV tour that’s sure to be the most fun you’ve had in a long time.

The duration of tours is between two and three hours, enabling you to include other activities in your day or simply unwind during your vacation. A lesson on safety and basic skills is included with every single tour, so even absolute beginners will be able to enjoy themselves while staying safe.

The Bikes
All quad bikes are simple to use and offer a great way to explore rugged terrain. Blazing Saddles’ collection of 250cc and 90cc bikes are so much fun to ride. Your experienced guides will ensure you have a great time while staying safe. All groups are kept small to ensure you have a friendly and intimate experience. Anyone can quad bike, and so can you!

Other Information

• No experience necessary & no license required
• Helmets & safety equipment provided
• Operates all year in all weather conditions
• Minimum age to ride the quad bike solo is 12. Kids aged 4 - 11 years can ride in a buggy that accompanies the guide
• Please wear long pants & covered shoes (no thongs or trail sandals, runners are OK)
• Wear at least a T-Shirt (no Singlets or sleeveless shirts)
• Bring a camera & sunglasses
• Not suitable for anyone who is pregnant
