Description
Head to Cape Tribulation, travelling down one of Australia’s most breathtaking scenic coastal drives as you anticipate an afternoon of Jungle Surfing, one of the most special ways to experience the wonders of the Daintree Rainforest.
You will first stop at Wildlife Habitat, located in Port Douglas, where you will see many fascinating animal species such as the cassowary, which is endangered. Have your photograph taken while cuddling a koala, with a snake draped around your neck or while bravely holding a crocodile (at an extra cost). You will also have a chance to enjoy a relaxing morning tea.
Then, travel across Daintree National Park to get to Cape Tribulation as you ride the cable ferry. On your trip through the fascinating mangrove environment, you will see birds, crocodiles and many other fascinating wildlife species.
Pause at Alexandra Lookout to marvel at the spectacular views, and then tuck in to a sumptuous tropical lunch specially prepared for you at Turtle Rock cafe. After lunch, it’s time for your Jungle Surfing adventure, an unforgettable experience that will have you exploring the world famous Daintree Rainforest in a unique manner. Your Jungle Surfing experience will not only be excellent fun, but also educational, guided every step of the way and wonderful in all types of weather. Your feet won’t touch the ground as you soar from tree to tree on flying fox ziplines. There will be stops at five platforms, where you will be agape at incredible aerial views over the lush rainforest canopy, gushing streams and the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
You’ll be joined by a team of experts including scientists, abseiling facilitators and tour guides. They will join you as you fly through the canopy and explore the world in the treetops, and they will teach you all about the World Heritage listed rainforest at each platform. How you want to fly through the treetops is entirely up to you, whether you prefer to go fast, slow or even upside down!
If your accommodation is in Port Douglas, your return will be at 6:30pm. If you are staying in Cairns, you will return at 7:30pm.
