From its home base in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises operates full day and half day cruises to famous Green Island.

Passengers can take part in the many activities available or simply relax on the beach. Our friendly crew will help you to organise your activities to make the most of your visit to Green Island.

The Great Barrier Reef
We enable you to discover the fascinating underwater world among the coral reefs surrounding Green Island where you will see an endless variety of colourful fish, turtles, giant clams, starfish, shells, anemones, eels, sponges, sea urchins and many more incredible marine creatures.

Green Island is the perfect place to snorkel, scuba dive, swim all year round, view the coral and fish life from the comfort of a glass bottom boat or semi-submersible or see the great barrier reef from the air either by joining a tandem parasail or a helicopter scenic flight.

The Island
Tropical and enchanting Green Island is a unique part of the Great Barrier Reef from its boardwalks that lead you through the lush island rainforest of the National Park to the sophistication of Green Island Resort where visitors can browse the shops or make use of the facilities including resort pool, fresh water showers, change rooms, restrooms and lockers.

Visitors can explore the island at their leisure or just relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches.

Green Island also offers a range of fun, affordable activities including Beach Hire, Marineland Melanesia and the Underwater Observatory.

Green Island is the perfect location for those who prefer to be land based rather than doing an outer reef trip where you spend the entire day on a boat. After a quick 1 hour boat ride from Cairns you have 5 hours to spend on Green Island either relaxing on the beach, snorkelling or taking part in one of the many optional activities. You can also do a flight over to Green Island on board a Seaplane

Suggestions: If you dont have a full day then book either a morning or afternoon half day Cairns tour to Green Island.
