I really appreciated the help our Everything Travel Group agent gave us. We had moved from Cairns to the Daintree area and she was able to continue to find us a suitable Great Barrier Reef dive experience nearby with limited Wifi and by phoning us when we needed.

I would definitely recommend the company as they were able to whittle down the oversupply of information available on the internet and show us the closest available to what we wanted. When you are on holiday you don't want to spend ages searching for the 'perfect' adventure so they really helped us out.

I will suggest to all using a booking agency, however, when booking a dive experience make sure you head to the website of the Dive Charter that you intend on using and read all the necessary information and requirements. We ended up on our charter without my son being allowed to complete his 3 booked dives due to a difference in SSI Diving regulations and PADI, the reason being that he required a copy of his dive medical as well as his certification card to be allowed to dive. Just one of those moments in life we all learn from.

I would use Everything Travel Group again as their service was definitely a bonus for us short on time.

A hugely professional group of people who made our trip worthwhile despite a few things that went wrong for us as we embarked on the trip. First a dropped phone meant no way of knowing any of our information including the boat, where to collect tickets and fortunately I remembered the times and jetty!! Then we had a windy trip with a lot of swell which meant my 12 year old got sea sick. The staff regularly checked on us all and helped with sea sick tricks that were nothing short of amazing!! Even I the seasick queen of every trip managed to get through by watching the Daintree Rainforest and following their suggestions. Yippee!!
The last but sadly most troubling part of our trip was that my son's bucket list did not see the tick for the Scuba Diving on the Barrier Reef. His Dive Ticket did not have a medical certification which saw him forgo his dream. I was really appreciative of the Dive Supervisor picking this up as I would not want my son diving under the wrong circumstances. But it did raise the issue of using a
booking agency. My suggestion to others is when booking a dive experience make sure you head to the website of the Dive Charter that you intend on using and read all the necessary information and requirements.
Just one of those moments in life we all learn from.

The whole team on the Poseidon were positive, helpful and held safety as their utmost priority which we appreciated and the sense of humor experienced by us passengers, snorkelers and divers really made the day a memorable one. We were fortunate to enjoy a snorkel on three reef destinations, so utterly divine beneath those white caps!! We enjoyed a yummy lunch and those copious cups of teas really were really appreciated!

Thank you all on the Poseidon. See you on Round 2 of the Bucket List tick in two years time!!

Will any of these dives include a shark dive?

Comments

Hi Victoria. There are no scheduled shark dives on any of the day reef boats out of Cairns or Port Douglas however if you are really lucky you may see a reef shark by chance during a day dive. There are a number of overnight reef boats that offer night shark dives.

Hi , we are looking to book a dive group , one member was wondering what depth range can we expect ? Over the 3 seperate dives .Thank you .

Comments

Hi Mark. The depth range you can expect while scuba diving with Poseidon dive day boat is between 14 - 18 metres (40 - 60 feet). This is the same with all the dive boats based out of Cairns and Port Douglas as the reef is quite shallow in this part of the world which means you don't have to dive deep to experience the coral and sea life.
