Description
A breath taking alternative to the 90 minute boat journey out to the reef is to soar above it all in a helicopter for a spectacular birds eye view of the Great Barrier Reef! From the moment you lift off uninterrupted panoramic views provide a unique perspective of this stunning World Heritage Listed location. The turquoise waters of the Coral Sea are alive with extensive coral formations. Spot turtles, rays, reef sharks and schooling fish.
Chose either to fly out to the reef by helicopter and cruise back (fly snorkel & cruise combo), cruise out to the reef on board Reef Magic and fly back (cruise snorkel & fly combo) or fly both ways (fly snorkel & fly combo). Once you reach the reef you board the Marine World Platform where you will spend the day enjoying lunch and a range of underwater activities including swimming, snorkelling, semi-submersible or glass bottom boat which are all included. Scuba diving, either for the beginner or experienced diver, is also available at an additional cost. The afternoon is complete with either a leisurely cruise back to Cairns or a scenic helicopter flight depending on which option you book.
Trip Includes
- Cairns accommodation transfers
- 20 minute helicopter flight to the reef
- Hot & cold buffet lunch on board the boat
- 4-5 hours on board Reef Magic's Marine World Platform at the reef to snorkel and swim or take the semi sub tour (optional scuba diving)
- 90 minute fast boat ride back to Cairns marina or you can choose the Fly Snorkel Fly option which includes a heli flight back from the reef
Duration
- Allow 7 hours for the Fly Snorkel & Cruise and Cruise Snorkel & Fly
- Allow 6 hours for the Fly Snorkel & Fly
Departures
- Fly first combos depart at 10am from your Cairns accommodation (returns by 5pm)
- The cruise first combo departs at 9am from the Cairns marina (returns by 5pm)
Other Information
- All combos include 4-5 hours on board the Marine World platform at the outer barrier reef
- Certified or Introductory Scuba diving can be organised once on board the Marine World platform
- Children welcome although child rates are not available
- Passenger weight restrictions apply
