Cairns has a huge shopping mall (Cairns Central) right in town next to the Train station; full of fashion, other retail stores and 2 major supermarkets. On the outskirts of town there is a factory outlet shopping Mall D.F.O. where you will also find many retail stores selling their goods at huge reductions. There are a great range of shops in town from designer brands to cute little local outlets. Stroll down the mall, check out the souvenir shops, art galleries and clothing stores, Take a breather in one of the many cafés or restaurants for a coffee and a bite to eat or wander down to Esplanade where you will find a man made lagoon. Here you can take a dip in the pool while looking out over the inlet of Cairns, there are BBQ's everywhere which are free to use.
