Cairns Hot Air Ballooning - Sunrise
If you're going to do this once in your life, really, do it here. More people take balloon rides in Cairns than the rest of Australia combined and big is best, when it comes to hot air balloons. There are more balloons and far more takeoffs, hey it's just like flying in a balloon festival. The sensation of floating with no sound is amazing and every day the views are different, as the views of the Atherton Tablelands stretch from the surrounding rainforest ringed mountains, past the mango tree patterns below and some days, based on how high your balloon flies, the sparkling blue of the coral sea west of Cairns.
Trip Includes
- Door to door transfers from all Cairns, Northern Beaches & Port Douglas accommodation
- Scenic balloon flight (30 or 60 minute flight)
- Hot Air Cairns flight certificate
Duration
- Allow 4 hours door to door (return to Cairns by 9am)
Departures
- Early morning (before sunrise usually somewhere between 4.30am to 5am)
- Pick up from your hotel/backpackers in Cairns, Northern Beaches or Port Douglas

- A professional photographer on site to capture your special ballooning Cairns experience
- Flight routes vary everyday - this is a Hot Air Balloon, it goes with the wind!
- Dress for a bush walk - sensible shoes and sunglasses are strongly recommended
- Children must be at least 4 years old (younger can come along free but not fly)
- An additional $30pp Aviation Insurance Levy payable on the day of tour
